Automatic De-Silter for our Water Supply

Every time it rains heavily, our water collection system silts up badly, and because our stream floods, we can't get up to the weir easily to clear the silt! (So when there's lots of water, we have NONE!)

So here's a diagram of the de-silting system I built. It uses the OVERFLOW from the settling tank to activate the De-Silting process. (And since silting only happens when the settling tank overflows in heavy rain, that's just fine...)
