Welcome to The Catlins and South Otago Carpool.  This site enables you to share rides to, from, and around The Catlins and South Otago.  You can request a ride or offer one.  When you share transport, you reduce the number of vehicles on the road and save money at the same time.  That’s good for the environment and good for you!

HOW IT WORKS

To request a ride or offer one, fill in one of the forms below (listings are only updated once daily at midnight, so you'll need to wait until tomorrow to see your ride).

ONE-OFF RIDE FORM (use this form for a one-off ride such as a shopping trip to town, a weekend visit to your crib, or a trip to the airport.)

CARPOOL FORM (use this form for a trip you make regularly such as going to and from work.)

When you’ve found your passengers or your ride, please remove your listing from the website by filling in just the YELLOW section of the form you used to post your request or offer.  One-off rides will disappear automatically from the listing once the ride-date passes.

There is an expectation that passengers will contribute around $1.00 per 10km of travel.  This is a voluntary contribution towards vehicle running-costs.
